Javier Sanz began his career in ceramics 12 years ago, creating an art school in the city of Burgos wherein courses in drawing and painting, ceramics and all types of plastic arts were regularly held, through the creation of intensive national and international courses to which people from all over Spain attended and at times even those from outside Spain. His current artistic development is the inexhaustible result of the relationship that many plastic specialties retain between each other.

After some time he realised that all this was impeding this development as a sculptor and artist, so he moved to the village of Olmos de Atapuerca where he began his research and personal development, principally in the world of ceramics, with incursions into bronze which are now becoming reality with the completion of the recently commissioned "monument to the working woman".

The two murals of large dimensions (the first of 17 metres lenght located in Vallarta de Bureba and the second of 21 metres located in the Hotel Ciudad de Burgos, in Rubena) created by the artist, indicate his great talent and creative genius, not only because they speak for themselves but beacuse it is difficult to explain how they have created with the scarce resources available to the sculptor- to which companies and people who have believed in him as a person and artist have contributed- thanks to all of them from here.

"The feeling I have now about what I do, have done and will do in the future, is undoubtedly different to that which I will have in one month or in five years".

I am attracted to what is aesthetically beaustiful and, at the same time, that which is surprinsingly different from the rest.

Some time ago we discovered, by sculpting with ceramics, that we were facing the four live elements of which the ancients spoke (earth, water, air and fire) and that gave us a push in the develpoment of our creativity. We were conceived as creative beings, although...at times we have executed crations so voluminous, with media so precarious, that we firmly believe in the existence of a Creator who drives us, encourages us and brings strength to our temporary path on this planet.

In some way, when you visit us, you will be sharing our world with us, our ideas and ours essence...we thank you for that and hope you will return to seen us again soon.
